Harvard University Housing recently completed a comprehensive renovation of the Soldiers Field Park (SFP) apartment complex just over the river in Allston. SFP is a 4-building complex with approximately 460 apartments covering 435,000 sq. ft., originally built in 1974. The project renewed key building systems and features and incorporated contemporary amenities, repositioning the asset to meet today’s tenant expectations. The multi-phased renovation took five and a half years and included the gut renovation of the units, common areas, back of house areas, as well as new landscaping, hardscaping, and playgrounds. The most recent phase also included the renovation of the Soldiers Field Park Childcare Center, in partnership with the Office of Work/Life, and a refresh of elements of the SFP garage in conjunction with Transportation Services. Residents were welcomed back on August 10 and they were very excited to see this significant project successfully completed.
