The Operations Center provides 24 hour/day, 7 day/week facility response and emergency call center services to more than 400 University buildings.
Staffed with multiple, well-trained Workstation Operators (at least 2 on every shift) and a Supervisor on each shift, the Operations Center receives close to 125,000 facility-related calls each year.
We maintain and monitor various Building Automation Systems. Activities include management and monitoring of building Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and critical alarm points.
The University Operations Center offers pagers and two-way radios for lease. Alphanumeric paging allows text messages to be transmitted to the pager via Internet E-mail interfaces or the University Paging System.
Located at 46 Blackstone Street, the Operations Center is a UL Listed Proprietary Station for Harvard University fire alarm monitoring. There are approximately 325 building accounts located on the Cambridge / Allston Campus that are monitored by the Operations Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
